2. Pull the cell housing straight out from the component mounting panel
to unplug the cell from its electronics. Let the cell housing hang by
the tubing.
3. Open the ICS-900 Wellness panel (see
4. Under
Conductivity Cell
, click the
Calibrate Offset
button (see
). A panel with instructions and command buttons will
open.
5. Follow the instructions on the panel to complete the conductivity cell
offset calibration procedure. The new offset is determined and stored
as the current value.
NOTE To reinstall the cell, on the mounting panel,
align the 9-pin connectors on the cell housing
with the component mounting panel and plug
the cell back into the electronics. Replace the
mounting screws (removed in
) and
tighten.
6. Under
Conductivity Cell
, click the
Calibrate Slope
button. A panel
with instructions and command buttons will open.
7. Follow the instructions on the panel to complete the conductivity cell
slope calibration procedure. The new slope is determined and stored
as the current value.
NOTE After calibration, the conductivity reading
should be 147.00 ± 2
μ
S/cm. If this is not the
case, call Dionex for assistance.
8.
Flush the KCl solution from the system by pumping DI water through
the cell. When the conductivity drops to near zero, stop the pump
flow.
9.
Reconnect the pump to the injection valve and reconnect the line
from the suppressor to the cell inlet.
