DDNS
DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name System) allows a DNS name to be constantly synchronized with a
dynamic IP address.
DDNS allows you to use a URL address to access your DVR instead of a numerical IP address.
1.
SERVER1
Select Server 1 to setup a DDNS using okddns.com server (oknnds.com is a free service).
a.
Go to okddns.com and click on DDNS REGISTRATION.
b.
Enter your DVR's MAC address (found in the System Info tab).
c.
Enter a desired Domain Name and click on Validate Duplication.
d.
If the Domain Name you have selected is available, click Register to complete
the registration.
e.
In the DVR, go to Menu
Network
DDNS.
f.
Select Server1 in the DDNS drop down list, and select okddns.com in the
Server1 DDNS Server Name.
g.
Set the DDNS interval from 5~ 60 minutes. This sets how often the DVR will test
if the DHCP IP Address has changed.
2.
SERVER2
dyndns.com. You can use this option if you wish to setup a Domain Name using
dyndns.com server. Note: This service requires subscription and payment.
