Internal Projector Adjustments
The internal parts of the projector are set in the factory and adjustment should not
be attempted by the user. Only properly authorised personnel should carry out such
adjustments which normally need to be done with the projector switched on and the
covers removed.
Lamp Explosions
In the event of a lamp explosion a cloud of white quartz dust is released and the
module window may break. Do not inhale the dust. Short-term exposure to the dust
is not considered a problem but repeated exposure may be hazardous.
Evacuate the room where the lamp is located and place the lamp module into its
protective packaging for return to supplier. Wear suitable protective gloves to pre-
vent injury from broken glass and dust.
Remove glass dust and any other debris from the projector wearing protective
gloves and allow dust to settle for 2 - 3 hours.
When entering the projector environment following a lamp explosion, wear full res-
piratory protection with dust filters. A half-mask respirator with Class 3 type (high-
est efficiency) particle filter is recommended. Particle filters are marked "P" and are
colour coded white.
Remove dust from projector room using a vacuum cleaner to avoid disturbing the
dust as much as possible.
