standards. In Europe safety glasses should be CE marked.

d) Heavy protective leather, Kevlar or puncture resistant nitrile gloves.
When working in a test room, or on location (i.e. a theatre projection booth) with an
exposed xenon lamp, ensure that the sign on the door indicates:

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
These signs should be on all access doors to test rooms and projection booths.
Ensure that all doors that access the exposed xenon lamp area are closed.
Storage of Xenon Lamps
All xenon lamps should be stored in their original shipping package (which includes
a plastic case, surrounded by foam insert and packed in cardboard box) and in a des-
ignated area away from traffic. Ensure that the exterior of the box indicates:
CAUTION - FRAGILE
XENON LAMP ENCLOSED
The number of hours of use of a xenon lamp should be recorded on the outside of its
box, whether the lamp is a new one or an old one that is used for testing.
Digital Projection recommends that all xenon lamps be replaced after 750 hours
of use.Digital Projection will not be responsible for any damages resulting from
failure to comply with this instruction. They must not run past 750 hours, other-
wise catastrophic failure will occur.
