SSABR G2 CONFIGURATION AND DOWNLOAD UTILITY
While connected via the USB cable, the unit will be powered and no battery is necessary. The unit will
automatically detect the USB connection and display “USB” on the LCD. In this mode, the playback and
record buttons are disabled.
To retrieve the audio from the SSABR G2 unit the contents are moved onto an image file. This image file
contains the contents of the flash memory chips on the SSABR G2 unit that store the recorded audio. In
order to download this recorded audio the SSABR G2 unit must be connected, via a USB port, to a PC
running the SSABR G2 software. Using the software, this image file can be moved to a CD-R disc or to the
PC’s hard drive. After the download, the memory of the SSABR G2 unit will be automatically reset to
prepare it for future use. These tasks are facilitated by the
Configuration and Download Utility
(CDU).
It is not necessary to have the SSABR G2 connected before running the software. The CDU will
automatically detect when the SSABR G2 unit is attached or removed.
