4.4 Navigation cancellation
It is possible, at any time to cancel the calculation and the displays to reach the
current waypoint.
To cancel navigation to the current waypoint select on the multifunction display the
waypoint name (by short pressing the
or
key until the waypoint identification
appears) then a long pressing the
key cancels the navigation, an acoustic signal
will sound and the waypoint name will be “NOWP” , showing the absence of a
destination.
Note: VL100 is now set to immediately accept a new destination from the GPS’s
normal or Start Pylon, so it is important that, after cancelling the GPS navigation,
the GPS has a correct destination set.
If you are in a “error - skipped waypoint” condition, you can cancel the
navigation calculation by using a long pressure on
It’s possible to change the unit of measure. To do this: starting from the
multifunction display, use a long pressure on
key and so enter in the menu, with
or
keys go to UNIT submenu. Pressing
key, you will enter in the submenu,
then with
or
keys you could choose the parameters:
ALTI (to change
altimeters or variometers units of measure: meters or feet), IAS (to change
anemometer unit of measure: velocity could be espressed in km/h or mph) and
TEMP (to change thermometer unit of measure: Celsius or Fahrenheit degrees).
Pressing
key, the value will be flashing. Thanks to
or
keys, change the value
as you want , then press
key to memorize the value. To come back at
multifunction display, press the
key, and then press another time
key. The
parameter alti (0 = meters 1= feet) selects the altimeters in mt o ft and varios in
m/s or fpm x100. When ft is selected the digital vario indicates fpm x100 and the
analog bar indicates fpm x200. The parameter ias (0 = km/h 1= mph) selects
the air speed in km/h or mph. The parameter temp (0 = °C
1= °F) selects the
thermometer in Celsius degrees or Fahrenheit degrees.
The multiflight logger recorder and the peak values recorder works together and
are turned on and off at the same time. The starting up (and the disconnection)
could be manual or automatic.
In order to the manual start of recorder: press

The autostart function allows an automatic start/stop of the logger via SET
submenu, parameter n. 35 AUTR (1=on 0=off).
The automatic start occurs when, for 4 consecutive seconds, the GPS ground
speed is higher than 15 km/h and the variometer indicates values higher than +/-
0.3 m/s.
At the moment of recorder activation, the last 10 seconds before the take off are
also recorded. The automatic recording stop at the landing occurs when, for 10
consecutive seconds, the GPS ground speed is below 5 km/h and the variometer
indicates values below +/- 0.3 m/s. The manual on/off for the logger is always
possible, even if the autostart is on.
to avoid the eventual cancellation of previous flights, a security
function is added that does not allow the autostart system to activate the logger
more than once since the instrument is turned on; it is necessary to turn the
