You can select whether or not to transmit the two prefix characters “P

” and “P
2
” and the check digit to the host. The
conversion to the ISBN/ISSN format is selectable. Enabling the conversion to the ISBN/ISSN format allows EAN-13 code
with prefix characters 978 or 979 to be converted into the ISBN format, and EAN-13 code with prefix characters 977, into the
ISSN format.
