Note
If you are installing Intel NIC drivers for Windows 2012 R2, you must include
IANS (Intel Advanced Network Services) if you intend to use VLANs.
If the drive installation requires a server reboot, the installation wizard will
prompt you to do so.
g. Repeat the above steps for every NIC driver type.
h. In the Windows Device Manager, right-click a NIC and view its properties to
verify that the driver version has been updated.
4. In the Windows Device Manager, expand the Storage Controllers list, and then
repeat the procedure in the previous step to install the RAID and SAS controller
drivers.
Uninstall the FCoE drivers when Intel x520 drivers are used
When Intel x520 drivers are used on VxFlex Ready Node servers running Windows
2012 R2, you must uninstall the FCoE drivers loaded in the Device Manager.
Otherwise, the x520 drivers will not appear in the list of Network Adapters.
Procedure
1. Open Device Manager.
The Device Manager window appears
2. Expand Storage controllers to display the list of controllers.
The list should include the Intel Ethernet Setup Drivers for FCoE, with an error
symbol next to each to indicate there is a problem with the device.
3. Right-click each FCoE device and click Uninstall, and then OK.
4. Expand Network adapters and verify that the x520 drivers appear and are
enumerated correctly.
