Appendix A describes all of the codes shown on the system displays. Table 9–2
describes the LED states and codes shown on the processor card and memory
card when a problem or fault is detected.

Processor card FAULT LED lit.
Decimal point on system self-test
(upper) display lit, but no values
shown. Processor card has failed its
module self-test. Go to

Memory card FAULT LED lit.
All Network Interface Cards
waiting (flashing READY LEDs). Memory card has failed its
module self-test.
Go to
Section 10.7.
System self-test (upper) display
shows value 2. DECNIS 600 system fault. Go to
Section 10.8.
System self-test (upper) display
shows value 1. At least one Network Interface
Card has failed its module self-
test and the system is running
without using it. The FAULT
LED on the failed Network
Interface Card should be lit. Go to
Section 10.9.
System operation (lower) display
values alternate between
3 and 7 for more than 5 minutes. System cannot load. Go to
Section 10.11.
System operation (lower) display
shows value 0. No circuits are available for
loading. Go to
Section 10.12.
If the processor card and memory card do not indicate any faults, refer to
Section 9.2.3 to check the state of the Network Interface Cards.
