After the implementation of the European Directive
2002/96/EU in the national legal system, the follow-
ing applies:
Electrical and electronic devices may not be dis-
posed of with domestic waste.
Consumers are obliged by law to return electrical
and electronic devices at the end of their service
lives to the public collecting points set up for this
purpose or to the daum electronic dealer. Details to
this are defined by the national law of the respec-
tive country.
The symbol on the product points out these regu-
lations.

Disposal of waste
By recycling, reusing the materials or other forms of
utilising old devices, you are making an important
contribution to protecting our environment.
In many countries the waste regulations mentioned
above apply to batteries and rechargeable batter-
ies, and are recommended for the international
countries as well.
Rechargeable battery
Rechargeable batteries are subject to the waste
disposal byelaw. They contain toxic heavy metals
and are consequently subject to the special waste
management byelaw. Your daum electronic dealer
will carry out the disposal for you.
Battery charger
Dispose of this device in conformity with the envi-
ronmental regulations enforced in your country.
Electrical waste may not be disposed of with do-
mestic waste.
You will obtain information from your local authority
or your daum electronic dealer.
When the charger reaches the end of its useful life,
make the device unusable by pulling the power plug
from the power outlet and cutting the power cable.
Other components
Dispose of other components in conformity with the
environmental regulations enforced in your country.
Electrical and electronic devices may not be dis-
posed of with domestic waste. Please ask your local
authority or daum electronic dealer for recommen-
dations and tips regarding recycling.
