5.3 Data Format

5.3.1 Header/Terminator Selection
The header/terminator selection is not effected by the reading of the restore default code. In fact, when the PowerScan
BT8300 connects with the BC 8030-BT, cradle header and terminator default values depend on the interface selection:

RS-232: no header, terminator CR-LF

WEDGE: no header, terminator ENTER
When the PowerScan BT8300 connects with a Bluetooth-Enabled PC, the reader header and terminator default values will
be:

SPP Profile: no header, terminator CR-LF

HID Profile: no header, terminator ENTER
When the PowerScan BT8300 connects with the BC 8030-BT the default values are usually restored through the reading
of RS-232 or WEDGE interface selection code. However, if the PowerScan BT8300 is connected with a Bluetooth-
Enabled PC it will NOT reset to default value when switched between Communication Types. In other words, the
PowerScan BT8300 can remember the setting of TERMINATOR. See chapter 2.
For the WEDGE interface, the following extended keyboard values can also be configured:

9C to FE send the Space character.
