Maintenance
This chapter provides information to help you maintain your printer for
optimal performance.
Maintain the Printer
The printer performs best when it is cleaned on a regular basis. Follow the cleaning guidelines for
your site to keep the printer in good working condition.
You can perform the following tasks to maintain the printer:

Clean the Printer on page 48

Clean the Printhead on page 53

Empty the Printer Reject Tray on page 55

Clean and Replace the Fan Filter on page 56
If your printer system includes the optional laminator, refer to “Clean the Laminator” on
page A-12 for information about cleaning the laminator.
