Technical Specifications
This appendix contains technical specifications for AViiON 530 and 4600 series
computer system hardware components. The base system for either computer consists
of a deskside chassis, system board, a Central Processing Unit (CPU) complex with two
Cache Memory Management Units (CMMUs), a power subsystem, Error Checking and
Correction (ECC) memory, an integrated Small Computer System Interface (SCSI) bus
for mass storage devices, an integrated Ethernet LAN controller, and a VMEbus
standard backplane.

or six Cache Memory Management Units (CMMUs), a power subsystem, Error
Checking and Correction (ECC) memory, an integrated Small Computer System
Interface (SCSI) bus for mass storage devices, an integrated Ethernet LAN controller,
and a VMEbus standard backplane.
AV530 workstations further include a color graphics monitor, an optical mouse, a
keyboard, and one or two graphics controller boards.
NOTE: The configuration parameters included in this appendix apply to
individual components, and do not consider all system variables. Since
power, cable, and bus constraints may prohibit some configurations, you
should use these specifications in conjunction with the appropriate
information on planning a system in Chapters 3 and 6 of this manual.
Physical and Environmental Specifications
This section contains physical specifications and environmental requirements for the
operation and storage of AViiON deskside computer systems. These computer systems
satisfy FCC Class A standards.
