Reinstall the top and side covers as described in the section, Closing the
Computer Unit" in Chapter 6.
After closing the computer unit, power up any storage subsystems, peripheral housing
units, and other peripherals. Then start the computer unit according to the
instructions in Chapter 3 and your operating system software documentation. Next,
you should test your computer system by running the AViiON System Diagnostics as
described in the
Using AViiON
System Diagnostics
manual.
Replacing the Tape/Disk Fuse
This section tells how to replace a blown tape/disk fuse in the power supply.
Before you can replace the tape/disk fuse you need to power down any peripherals and
the computer unit and remove the computer unit's left side cover as described in the
Opening the Computer Unit" section of Chapter 6.
WARNING: Always unplug the power cord from the ac power outlet and
from the receptacle on the back of the computer unit
before
removing any cover from the housing.
To replace the tape/disk fuse, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 12Ć10. You will
need a medium (#2) flat-blade screwdriver.
1.
Using the screwdriver, gently lift the fuse until you can pull it out of the holder
with your fingers. Remove the fuse from the holder.
2.
Press anew 250ĆV, 12ĆA fuse into the holder until it is firmly seated.
