Wirefeeding mechanism with motor
It is compact-designed, direct-circuit motor. The mechanism is feeding the wire trough the wire feeding
roller, which is placed on reductor's shaft. The strength of pressure-roll to the wire and the feeding roller
may be adjustable by turning the screw (with spring).

Magnetic gas valve
It serves to open and close the gas outlet from the cylinder. From there the gas goes through the seamed
tube into the welding cable and torch. The gas flow is active by pressing the button on torch only. The gas
flow can be checked by turning the switch to the cylinder-symbol.

5.1. Setting up the welding current
The welding current is adjustable with a 6 position switch.

5.2. Spot welding
If you wish to weld a few short seams with VARMIG Supermig welding machines, you have to switch-on
the spot welding with a spot welding adjustment-knob (Fig.5/pos.04). Please chose the appropriate spot
welding period with the same knob (from 0,5
– 2 seconds). Also adjust the other welding parameters as
described in previous points of this manual. Change the gas nozzle with appropriate gas nozzle for spot
welding. After you have pressed the key on the torch, the machine will start with spot welding. After the
chosen period of spot welding is over, the machine stops automatically. The next welding-seam you can
make with pressing the key on the torch again.
