Network
Configure network info when DVR is connected to a network.
Network settings
Select DVR’s network type between Ethernet or XDSL.
Ethernet
Select ‘Ethernet’ when the DVR is connected with dedicated line,
cable modem or LAN environment.
xDSL
Select ‘xDSL’ when the DVR is connected with xDSL line which uses
PPPoE. But, if the xDSL is not using PPPoE, it should be selected
as ‘Ethernet’.
Automatic Addressing (DHCP)
1) Off : If DVR’s network does not have DHCP server, please select
‘Off’. User should manually enter a specific IP address which is
given by network administrator.
2) On : If DVR’s network has DHCP server, user can select ‘On’. If
DHCP is enabled, DHCP server will assign DVR’s IP address
automatically .
IP Address
IP address is used for the communication between DVR and Control Center, and it is used for Webviewer to
connect DVR. Also Netmask, Gateway addresses given fromt the network administrator should be properly
configured. (When DHCP is enabled, this item will be disabled)
Net Mask
Net Mask defines the communication range of IP address. This information should be given from the network
administrator. (When DHCP is enabled, this item will be disabled)
Gateway
DVR should have proper Gateway address to communicate with external network. This information should be
given from the network administrator. (When DHCP is enabled, this item will be disabled)
DNS
DVR should have proper DNS address to use various network services such as WRS, NTP, e-mail and so on.
Please ask this information to network administrator.
UPnP Port Forwarding
When using Internet Sharing device supporting UPnP, this function eable all connected DVR to do Port
forwarding and they can be connected to Internet with IP address of Internet Sharing device.
(1) Configure two DVRs with DHCP On.
(2) Please, check if DVRs which are connected to Internet Sharing Device are allocated with official IP.
(3) Configure DVR port of DVR(A) and DVR(B) as 81 and 82 individually.
(4) Configure UPnP function of Internet Sharing Device as “ON”.
(5) Configure UPnP Port Forwarding function of DVR as “ON”.
(6) Please, check if Port Forwarding Status message is changed from “Not Available” to “Port Mapping is
OK”.
(7) Finally, if user accesses DVR(A) with the IP address with port number 81 or DVR(B) with the IP address
with port number 82, user can access DVRs.
