Configuring via Web-based Interface
To enable the Ethernet WAN function, follow the steps below.
1. Place the mouse pointer on the router's LAN port that will be used as the WAN port and
click the
Make WAN
line in the menu displayed.
2. On the opened page, select the needed value from the
Ethernet WAN type
drop-down list.
•
Single service over one connection
: if you need to assign one WAN
connection to the created Ethernet WAN interface.
•
VLAN MUX Mode
: if you need to assign one or more tagged VLAN connections or
several untagged connections to the created Ethernet WAN interface.
3.
Click the
Save
link.
If in the future you need to disconnect the LAN port from the private Ethernet line, on the
Advanced / Interface grouping
page, place the mouse pointer on the port that is used as the
WAN port and click the
Default
line in the menu displayed. Then click the
Save
button.
To create a new rule for interface grouping (a group of ports), click the
Add group
button (the
button is not displayed if there is no WAN connection in the system).
