config configuration config_id
Purpose
This command is used to select a configuration file as the next boot
up configuration or to apply a specific configuration to the system.
This command is required when multiple configuration files are
supported.
Syntax
config configuration config_id <int 1-n> {delete | boot_up | active}
Description
Used to select a configuration file as the next boot up configuration
or to apply a specific configuration to the system. This command is
required when multiple configuration files are supported.
Parameters
delete – Specifies to delete the configuration file.
boot_up – Specifies the configuration file as a boot up file.
active – Specifies to apply the configuration.
Restrictions
Only Administrator level users can issue this command.
Example usage:
To set configuration file 1 to be a boot up file:
DES-1228/ME:5#config configuration config_id 1 boot_up
Command: config configuration config_id 1 boot_up
Success.
