config 802.1x capability ports 

Purpose

 

Used to configure the 802.1X capability of a range of ports on the 
Switch. 

Syntax

 

config 802.1x capability ports [<portlist> | all] [authenticator | none] 

Description

 

This command has two capabilities that can be set for each port, 
authenticator and none. 

Parameters

 

<portlist> 

−

 Specifies a port or range of ports to be configured.  

all 

−

 Specifies all of the ports on the Switch. 

authenticator 

−

 A user must pass the authentication process to gain 

access to the network. 

none 

−

 The port is not controlled by the 802.1X functions. 

Restrictions

 

Only Administrator level, Operator level or Power User level users 
can issue this command. 

Example usage: 

To configure 802.1X capability on ports 1 to 10:
