Verify that sail switch is in open position and that
nothing can push on it when heater is idle. Verify
wiring for short circuit.

Sail switch did not close in
the 4 seconds following the
power up of the blower.
Verify that the fan motor is able to start. Verify
wiring to fan's motor. Verify that nothing prevents
sail switch to go to close position. Verify sail switch
wiring for open circuit. Verify sail switch continuity
with multimeter.

Loss of airflow
(airflow was
on, but was
then lost)
Sail switch state went off for
more than 400ms when fan
is ON.
Verify that fan motor is able to start. Verify wiring
to fan's motor. Verify that nothing prevents sail
switch from going to close position. Verify sail
switch wiring for open circuit. Verify sail switch
continuity with multimeter by closing it manually.

Hi Limit
Tripped The high temperature limit
switch is seen open.
Verify high limit switch wiring. Verify that flame is
not present when fan is off. Verify that enough air-
flow can pass through heater. Verify that no altera-
tion has been done to the valve. Depress manual
button on hi-limit switch.
