Replacing the Ignitor
Before You Begin
CAUTION
Both the igniter and flame probe can still be hot if the heater was in operation. Allow
heater to cool completely before performing any maintenance.
• Disconnect all power sources to the heater.
• Turn off the gas supply.
To remove the ignitor:
1. Loosen the two screws (2) attaching the igniter/flame probe mounting bracket (1) to the burner duct.
2. Disconnect the igniter and flame probe from the control box.
3. Slide the igniter/flame probe mounting bracket (1) off of the screws to remove the probe assembly.
4. Remove the the igniter (3) from the igniter/flame probe mounting bracket (1) by removing the screw
(2).
To install the ignitor:
5. Install the igniter (3) to the igniter/flame probe mounting bracket (1) using the screw (2).
6. Slide the igniter/flame probe mounting bracket (1) onto the screws on the burner duct.
7. Connect the igniter and flame probe to the control box.
8. Tighten the two screws (2) to install the igniter/flame probe mounting bracket (1) to the burner duct.
