INSTRUCTION MANUAL Digital Light Engraver

Dealing with faults
Effective date

Incorrect speed
For each mesh and each type of layer, an op-
timum quantity of light is required to expose
the screen. The amount of light is defined by
the exposure speed. Thus, incorrect speeds
lead to over or under-exposure, and subse-
quent banding.
Lens or head sys-
tem was impacted
mechanically (mis-
aligned)
An accidental collision with the head system
could cause a mechanical
misalignment,
which can only be corrected by our service
personnel.

Fibre optic cable
- cable not plugged in correctly
- cable break or damaged insulation
- cable has poorly finished ends
- check insulation in connection plug
-

tic cable or replace fibre optic cable with other
fibre optic system

Chip overclocked
- The maximum permissible speed and thus
the frequency for the chip was exceeded
- check 5V voltage supply to the chip (stabil-
ity)
- defective chip or card
The resolution of the system is defined by the
lens. It must not be changed. Check DLE set-
tings in Utilities

mat
User selected a file that has an unsupported
data format or is in a compressed format (see
manual)

DLE settings have
been modified
Under UTILITIES – DLE settings the work po-
sition has been defined. This is the zero posi-
tion for all start offsets (see manual)
Screen size incor-
rect
When both the X and Y values in the screen
definition are not identical, the system starts
the exposure at the corresponding next (2

smaller size
(see manual)
Units have been
changed
- in the programme click the “Options” tab and
select “Units”. Here you can change the units
and resolution
- changing both can lead to this phenomenon
