Troubleshooting
The following table provides corrective action for possible trouble situations. If
further assistance is required, please contact a Crestron customer service
representative.

Verify that Cresnet is properly attached.

incorrect.
Verify QM input cable connection is
secure.
Wrong SystemBuilder or
SIMPL Windows
program.
Verify and upload correct programs.
Wrong source or
video displayed.
SystemBuilder project not set
up correctly.
Verify proper video set up for each video
input.
The cable connections are
incorrect.
Verify 15-pin output cable connection.
Verify QM input cable connections.
Video from RGB
source is garbled
or no output.
Signal skew due to long
cable length or unequal pair
length.
Verify maximum QM cable length.
Verify maximum of two midpoint switching
or distribution devices.
Verify compensation for skew.
Incorrect peak and/or boost
setting.
Adjust peak and/or boost controls until
image quality is improved.
Poor RGB or
video image
quality.
Incorrect skew
compensation.
Adjust skew compensation as required.
IR or serial port not
connected properly.
Verify connections and tighten serial
cable.
A/V system
device does
not respond.
Serial cable is miswired
Verify that serial cable is wired correctly
for RS-232.
