Carefully slide the server out of the rack and onto the lift platform.
16. IMPORTANT:
If the replacement subrack will not be installed within a few minutes, install a blank filler
panel(s). Failure to do so can disrupt airflow and overheat other components in the rack.
Install a blank panel(s) in the opening and secure the panel to the rack. If necessary, remove the plastic
fasteners so that screws can be used to secure the filler panel to the rack.
SR Subrack Installation
About this task
This procedure describes how to install a new or replacement SR5110 subrack.
Install Subrack in Rack
1.
Carefully slide the subrack off the work surface and onto the lift platform.
2.
Position the lift in front of the rack and set the brake.
3.
Remove any blank filler panel(s).
4.
Carefully slide the subrack off the lift platform and onto the support angles in the opening in the rack until the
front panel is flush with the rack rails.
5.
Release the brake, and slowly move the lift away from the rack.
6.
Secure the subrack to the rack frame with four M6 screws.
7.
Remove the front bezel and set the DIP switches.
Install Modules in Subrack
8.
Install the cable management bar and place it in the down position
9.
Install modules:
● PSUs
● iSCB module
● GB522X modules
10.
Connect all power cords and data cables. Refer to the numbers on the cable labels.
11.
Check all connections before powering up the system.
