Every 40 hours the fan housing and airway should be checked
for wear or plugging (Figure 37).

Disconnect the PTO driveline from the implement

Position the driveline on a workbench.

Loosen the eight slip clutch nuts.
3.
Remove bolts and disassemble all components.
4.
Check the condition of all parts, especially the friction discs

(Figure 39).
If replacement parts are needed, consult your local autho-

rized Crary dealer.
Reassemble all components.

Tighten nuts following an alternating cross pattern until the

clutch slips momentarily upon initial startup and then con-
tinues to operate normally.

Lubricate PTO cross journals (Figure 36). Make sure grease
purges through all four bearings.
eveRY 16 houRS
Lubricate PTO inner tubes (Figure 36). Telescoping members
must have lubrication to operate successfully. Telescoping mem-
bers without fittings should be pulled apart and grease should be
added manually with a brush.
eveRY 40 houRS
Lubricate the PTO shield retaining bearing (Figure 36). Molded
nipples on the guard near each guard bearing are intended
as grease fittings and should be lubricated every 40 hours of
operation.
Lubricate the PTO disconnect mechanism.
