4.11 RighT hand dRive KiT - 1993/1994 SeRieS (15-22.5 fT. headeRS)
Install two bushings to the gearbox, aligning the keyways of 1.
the bushings with each other at the 12:00 position. Do not
tighten at this time.
Slide the gearbox drive shaft through the gearbox from the 2.
left side. Insert the 5/16” keys into the keyways of the shaft
and position the shaft so approximately 5-1/2” is exposed
on the RH side of the bushing.
Tighten all bushing bolts to 17 ft-lbs. 3.
Insert bushing into sprocket/hub weldment and slide onto 4.
the LH end of auger drive shaft (Figure 21).
Set breakaway torque of auger torque limiter clutch to de- 5.
sired level.
Ensure that the three adjusting nut screws are
•
backed off four turns and that the adjusting nut is
in a finger tight position (Figure 20).
Mark the adjusting nut with the hub. Back off the
•
adjusting nut the number of turns that correspond
to the desired break away torque
Tighten the three adjusting screws alternately until
•
the heads bottom out. Torque to 65 in-lbs.
Place all controls in neutral or off, stop combine engine, set
parking brake, remove ignition key, wait for all moving parts to
stop, then properly block machine before servicing, adjusting,
repairing, or unplugging.

Slide torque limiter clutch onto RH end of gearbox drive shaft, 6.
and align with sprocket on auger drive shaft. Insert 5/16”
key into keyway on clutch and tighten set screws. Tighten
bushing bolts into sprocket on auger drive shaft, keeping the
sprockets aligned.
Connect sprockets with the provided chain. Set proper chain 7.
tension by adjusting the position of the gearbox within the
mounting plates.
Tighten the bolts securing the gearbox mounting plates to the 8.
gearbox and the bolts securing the gearbox mounting plates
to the mount support plate. Torque hardware to 75 ft-lbs.
Position chain drive shield over chain drive and drill holes into 9.
vertical post on back of header. Secure with 3/8” hardware.
Torque to 30 ft-lbs.
Bolt the shield mount plate directly to the LH side of the 10.
gearbox with 1/2” bolts and washers.
Insert a 5/16” key into keyway at the LH end of the gearbox 11.
drive shaft. Slide the clutch end of the PTO driveline onto
the shaft. Tighten clamp bolt and set screws.
Slide the slip clutch shield over the PTO driveline and fas- 12.
ten to the shield mount plate using 5/16” x 3/4” bolts and
washers.

It is recommended that the breakaway torque be set between
180 - 225 ft-lbs.
