Advanced Security Mode
When you enable
Advanced Security Mode
, you have three different options for the
Authentication Mode
:

Local Users
•

RADIUS
Local Users
Create users with administrative privileges by inputting usernames and
passwords in the
Advanced User Management
table.
stands for “Terminal Access Controller
Access-Control System plus”. The router will use a
server (or two, optionally) to authorize
administration.
Server Timeout
: If the servers are not reached
within the set time (possibly because the WAN is
down), the router will automatically fall back to
using
Local Users
mode to prevent users from
being locked out.
Authentication Service
: Choose from:

ASCII / Login
•
PAP
•
CHAP
Server Address
: This can be either an IP address
in the form of "1.2.3.4", or a DNS name in form of
