LOCATION OF COMPONENTS
TRAILER
The vehicle has a tow ball, located at the rear of the vehicle. It is important
to know its load limitations. For this purpose there is an homologation plate
that indicates the following information.
Do not exceed 16km/h when towing a load nor drive the vehicle with
the short gear (L) engaged.
Do not drive on sloped or dangerous grounds when towing loads. If
dirving on diffult grounds is needed, reduce the speed significantly
and constantly pay attention to elements that can be potentially
dangerous for your safety.
When parking the vehicle with a trailer, it is important to do it on an
horizontal surface. Do not park in slopes nor leave te vehicle with an
engaged gear, as it will not prevent the vehicle from moving. Always
use the parking brake.
In order to improve vehicle stability and to reduce the effects of
towing a load, it is convenient to distribute the load weight between
cargo box and trailer if possible.
Secure the load to the trailer correctly and make sure the space
between the trailer and the vehicle is free from any elements that
could damage any of them or affect driving.
In the upper part of the towing ball it can be found the 7-pin socket
connector for towing. This socket has a maximum power of 150W,
exceeding this power may result in serious damage in the electric
system and must not be exceeded under any circumstance. This
power will be reduced if there is something connected to any of the
vehicle’s auxiliary power points.
The vehicle can only tow more than 450kg if the trailer is equipped
with an inertia brake. Always without exceeding the maximum load
supported by the vehicle.
Do not pull or tow objects from any other point on the vehicle than
the winch (if available) or from the hitchs provided (one rear with tow
ball and one front).
Never drive with passengers in the trailer.
The vehicle should be driven avoiding sharp turns or aggressive
driving. Accelerate progressively and keep in mind that the braking
distance will be affected by the trailer load.
