11. Operation
Slave reverse mode
This it the mirrored version of slave operation. The effect light behaves like a mirror-image of the master device.
• Press the button MODE (1) until the display (4) shows “SLr”. “SLr” means that the device is in slave reverse mode.
• In this operating mode, each of the four spots of the effect light covers 3 DMX channels for the respective intensity
of the colours red, green and blue.
• Spot 4 thus reacts to channels 001-003, spot 3 to channels 004-006, spot 2 to channels 007-009 and spot 1 to
channels 010-012.
• In this operating mode, the device receives the 12-channel DMX data from a connected master device in automatic,
sound-to-light or fixed-colour-setting mode.
• Once a DMX signal is received from the master device, an LED appears at the right side below the “S” in the
display (4).
Combined slave mode
In this operating mode, the device is not structured in 4 spots. The entire effect light is a single unit and controlled
by 3 DMX channels.
• Press the button MODE (1) until the display (4) shows “SLC”. “SLC” means that the device is in combined slave
mode.
• In this operating mode, entire effect light covers 3 DMX channels (001-003) for the respective intensity of the colours
red, green and blue.
• In this operating mode, the device receives the 3-channel DMX data from a connected master device in automatic,
sound-to-light or fixed-colour-setting mode.
• Once a DMX signal is received from the master device, an LED appears at the right side below the “S” in the
display (4).
This operating mode is suitable for connecting the effect light as a slave device to a master device that
does not have 4, but only one segment or spot.
e) DMX Operation
Each DMX device in a DMX chain requires a so-called DMX starting address to be clearly identified by the controller.
This DMX starting address specifies the first DMX channel to which the effect light responds. The remaining control
channels come after this first DMX channel (DMX starting address).
The effect light requires 4 or 16 free DMX channels depending on the DMX operating mode set.
