Processor Power Module
CAUTION:
Electrostatic discharge can damage electronic components. Be sure
you are properly grounded before beginning any installation procedure. See
“Electrostatic Discharge Information” in Chapter 2 for more information.
The processor power module is located on the system board with tray. To remove the processor
power module:
1.
Perform the service preparations desribed on page 3-2.
2.
Remove the following components:

workstation cover
❏
I/O bracket assembly (expansion board bracket)
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of personal injury from hot surfaces, allow the
internal system components to cool before touching.
NOTE
: For better access to the processor power module, you may need to slide the system
board with tray out half way.
3.
Press outward on both latches of the processor power module at the same time

it from the system board with tray

To replace the processor power module and reassemble the workstation, reverse the above steps.

Before replacing the I/O bracket assembly, read “Important Guidelines for
I/O Bracket Assembly Replacement” earlier in this chapter.
