1.3.8 High Resolution Module (HRM)
The High Resolution Module provides the same basic functionality as the Standard
Resolution Module, except that it only supports a resolution of 2K x 2K at 60 Hz which is
requires for the Sony DDM-2801C and DDM-2802C monitors. The High Resolution
Module does not support stereoscopic output or switching for console output. The VGA
console must be provided by using a separate monitor. The high resolution PowerStorm
1000 graphics subsystem contains a High Resolution Module. The High Resolution
Module bulkhead has a D13W3 connector for connecting the HRM video cable. The other
end of the HRM video cable has five BNC-connectors that provide video signals for red,
green, blue, horizontal sync, and vertical sync to the monitor. Figure 1-9 shows the High
Resolution Module.
