Clean the filtering elements (Fig. 79) of the air
filter until they are quite clean and check that
they are in good operating condition (see the
instructions in chapter 11 entitled “Maintenance”
in this manual).

Having carried out the previously mentioned
checks on the engine, open the cylinder refill cock
(Fig. 80).
Start the compressor up following the instructions given below.
Add diesel fuel to the tank (Fig. 81).
