COMMUNICATION WITH EXTERNAL EQUIPMENT
IceTech R1000H has line control functionality and can operate pelletizers, conveyors and flow wrappers connected to the
Beckhoff PLC. The following groups are available as default:
 Pelletizer 1
Start/Standby/Stop and Line E-stop and reset signal
 Pelletizer 2
Start/Standby/Stop and Line E-stop and reset signal

Flow wrapper
Start/Stop and Line E-stop and reset signal
 Feeder conveyor from Pelletizers to R1000H
 Outlet conveyor including slice separation
 In feed conveyor to flow wrapper including slice separation
Conveyors are part of R1000H control and operated automatically. R1000H can be operated from plant/line control using
Start/Standby/Stop and Plant/Line E-stop.
Following IO’s are available:
1.
16 pcs. Digital Input 24V DC
2. 16 pcs. Digital Output 24V DC
3. 2 pcs. Digital Safe Input 24V DC
4. 2 pcs. Digital Safe Output 24V DC
IceTech R1000H powers the IO’s. To avoid mixing power sources, ie. by communicating with PLC, Cold jet recommend
galvanic isolation. This is done by using relays for digital IO’s and safety coupling relays for Safety IO’s.
Please refer to electrical schematics for connecting external digital input/output and safety input/output.
