For optimal operation of the system, the heatsink thermally coupled
to the LED source needs to exchange air with the surrounding
environment: it is therefore advisable to leave empty space in the false
ceiling around CoeLux LS. In no event can the product be covered (in
contact) with insulated thermal material.
REGULATORY FRAMEWORK
CoeLux® LS series 2, in variants LS_ND/CE, PSE, CCC, KC, complies
with the essential requirements of the directives 2014/35/EU, 2014/30/
EU, 2011/65/EC and 2012/19/EU. The necessary harmonised standards
have been applied to ensure compliance with these directives.
CoeLux® LS series 2, in the LS_ND/CE, PSE variant, also holds the PSE
circular mark, whose national deviations are contained within the CB
report.
CoeLux® LS series 2, in the LS_ND/KC variant, also holds the KC mark
according to the KC62031(2015/09) standard.
CoeLux® LS series 2, in the LS/BIS variant, complies with IS 10322 (Part
5/Sec2) for BIS certification.
CoeLux® LS series 2, in variants LS/UL, UL 0-10/277V is FCC certified
according to Cfr 47 Part 15 - Sub-chapters B-15.107 and 15.109.
Furthermore CoeLux® LS series 2 holds UL certification for Canada
and the U.S. (File E476417).

Instructions for assembly, installation and operation of
the product
INTRODUCTION
The operators responsible for the assembly and installation of CoeLux
products are obliged to carefully read all the contents of this manual
before installation, assembly and start-up of the unit, as well as before
maintenance operations.
Please ensure that this manual is kept in good condition, now and
for future reference. It is forbidden to remove, tear out, or modify its
contents in any way.
The illustrations and drawings are made available for reference
purposes only, and may not be accurate. The images and the technical
specs available in the manual are not binding and may change without
prior notice.
UNITS OF MEASUREMENT
Unless otherwise specified, the units of measurement used are those
adopted by the International System of Units (SI).
WORKER QUALIFICATIONS
Standard Worker: A worker without specific skills, able to
perform only simple tasks under supervision of qualified
technicians.
Electrical Technician: A qualified electrician capable
of operating the unit and able to service, repair, and
maintain all electrical aspects of the unit. The electrician
can also operate electrical cabinets and junction boxes
with the power on.
A worker/operator with adequate training may be qualified for more
than one role.
An OPERATOR is a general term for an employee charged with
operating, regulating and cleaning the unit.
PRODUCT IDENTIFICATION
On the side of the device there is an identification plate featuring, along
with other information, the serial number (SN) and the Part Number
(PN); please communicate these codes to CoeLux S.r.l. when making
any request.

Do not cover the lighting fixture with thermal insulation material
Specifically for LS/ UL version, UL 0-10/277V, with UL certification, the
distance between each of the surfaces of the product and the insulating
material that may be present in the false ceiling must be greater than 76
mm (3 inches). UL certification will lapse if this distance is not respected
(TYPE NON-IC INSTALLATION).
The use of CoeLux® LS series 2 in environments subject to special
regulations (metros, tunnels, etc.) must be evaluated by competent
personnel. Contact CoeLux S.r.l. to receive information about each
specific project. The lifting, fitting, wiring and commissioning of CoeLux
LS must be carried out in compliance with the instructions in this manual,
as well as following the current safety regulations in the location where
the installation takes place.
