Filling with motor oil
– Unscrew and remove the motor oil filling
plug (9).
– Carefully top up the motor oil (tank con-
tents:
). Do not
spill!
– Read-off the oil level on the dip stick on
the underside of the motor oil filling plug.
– The oil level must lie between
[A]
and
[B]
.
– Re-tighten the motor oil filling plug (9) by
hand.
Attach the collection box
– Lift the protective flap (4) and hold.
– Hook in the collection box (7).
– Make that the collection box is securely
engaged.
Adjusting the cutting height
– The cutting height can be set to 7 different
).
– Pull the lever (6) to the side.
Operation
Check before starting!

The prod-
uct must only be put into operation if
no defects are found. Ensure that any
defective parts are replaced before
the product is used again.
Check the safe condition of the product:
– Check whether there are any visible
defects.
– Check whether all parts of the product are
firmly attached.
Starting the motor
DANGER! Danger of fire!
Spilled
fuel can set the product on fire.
Carefully wipe up any spilled fuel up
before starting.
Start the product a minimum of nine
metres away from where you filled it.
Note:
In case of start-up difficulties,
please refer to the following able:
– Press the switch-on lever (1).
– Slightly press fuel pump (11) approx. 3×.
– Slow pull out the pull starter (8) until you
feel a resistance, then quickly and force-
fully, until the initial ignition noise can be
heard.
– Pull out the pull starter again quickly and
forcefully until the motor starts up.
Switching off the motor
WARNING! Risk of injury!
Always
switch off the product when not in use
for short periods.
– Release the switch-on lever (1).
Mowing
DANGER! Risk of injury!
Before
beginning work, check the terrain and
remove all objects that may be flung
out by the product.
– Steer the product at an even, slow speed
(walking pace) in the straightest lines pos-
sible.
Important notes
•
Always work across slopes where possi-
ble.
•
Do not cut wet grass if possible.
•
Overlap the mowing lines slightly for an
even appearance.
•
Cut long grass first at the greatest possi-
ble cutting height, then mow in transverse
direction at the desired cutting height.
Cleaning and maintenance

Perform
only the maintenance work described
here yourself.
Improper work can cause product
damage and hence physical injury.

Before
any maintenance and/or cleaning
work:
– Switch off the product.
– Close the fuel valve.
– Turn off the ignition switch.
– Allow the product to cool down.
