The RS-232 and telnet command list
The following is a list of the commands that may be received through the RS-232
port or the Ethernet port via the telnet protocol.
Unless otherwise indicated, all commands must be terminated with a <CR>. A
<BEL> (07H) is sent when the execution of the command is completed. This will
occur for example when the “S” command to start the counter is received and
executed or when the
last
record of the “A” command is transmitted.
Some commands include parameters. Setting parameters is accomplished by a
command protocol that mimics the way data is input from the keypad. The
parameter nnnn is a field of variable length that must conform to the format of the
parameter being set. It may include a decimal point, colons, or slashes.
The following are examples of valid formats for nnnn:
Value of 100: 100.0, 100
Time of 15 seconds: 00:00:15, 00:15, 15
Time of one hour: 01:00:00, 60:00, 360
Some commands are valid only via telnet and others only via RS-232. Some
commands have been added in certain firmware versions and are not valid in
previous versions. Any such limitations are noted in parenthesis next to the
command in the table as follows: (t) telnet only (s) RS-232 only, (1) firmware
version 1.30 or later, (2) firmware version 2.00 or later, (3) firmware version 3.00
or later.

Note FUNCTION
S
Start sample.
T
Stop sample (beeps four times).
A
Transmit most recent nnnn samples in CSV format from
3,000 sample memory. Sending A without any parameters
will return all records. Setting nnnn between 1 and 2999 will
request a limited number of records, starting with most
recent being record 1. A0 transmits header only.
Transmission is aborted if a character is received while in
progress.

Z
Clear all data in the 3,000 run sample memory.
V
Turn pump on, independent of sample.
W
Turn pump off if sample is not in progress.
R
(s)
Enable echo (will send back each character). Does not
require a carriage return, <CR>, but will only be executed if
it is the first character in a command string.
N
(s)
Disable echo. Does not require a carriage return, <CR>, but
will only be executed if it is the first character in a command
