screen. Use the [

2.2.12
How to copy stored data to the USB jump drive
The stored data containing up to 3000 samples can be copied to the USB drive. To
begin using the USB jump drive, insert it into the USB port. The USB menu will
appear. Select [
SAVE DATA
]. A screen will appear suggesting a file name. This name
will be the same one used previously. If it still exists on the drive, a message will be
displayed warning that the file already exists. At this point the user can assign a
new name or press [
SAVE
] to overwrite the existing file. Filenames may consist of up
to 8 characters with a three character extension. The default .CSV file extension will
be added unless otherwise specified.
Data is stored in ASCII CSV format with a check code. This format can be read by
common spreadsheet programs as a text file.
2.2.13
How to download data to a computer
Data can be downloaded directly to a computer through the RS-232 or Ethernet
port. Details of the computer commands for controlling the CI-154 through the
RS-232 and Ethernet ports appear in later sections of this manual. For further
information on software designed to work with the CI-154, please contact Climet
Instruments Company.
2.2.14
How to clear stored data
Stored data should be cleared before collecting new data that will be used to
calculate averages or to make FS-209E, ISO 14644-1, or GMP calculations of a new
clean area. Data should also be cleared if data dumps are routinely taken, so that
old data will not be repeatedly printed or sent to the computer. Since the CI-154 can
store a considerable amount of data, failing to clear data regularly will result in very
long printouts, both in terms of time and in terms of paper length.
To clear data, press [
REPORT
] from the main data screen, then press [
CLEAR DATA
].
You will be prompted, in case the key was pressed in error. Press [
YES
], and the data
is cleared from memory.

Changing paper
Turn the unit on. Remove the printer paper compartment cover in the upper right
corner of the rear panel by unscrewing the two thumbscrews by hand, or with a slot
head screwdriver. Cut or tear any remaining paper near the compartment and then
hold down the paper advance key to feed out the old paper still in the printer. Hold
the new roll of paper in the palm of your hand so that the end of the paper extends
from the bottom of the roll out to your fingertips. Use your fingertips to insert the
end of the paper up into the printer mechanism located at the upper rear of the
compartment. Insert the paper
behind
the visible horizontal lip. The printer will
automatically sense and draw the paper through the mechanism. If the paper does
not feed through after the paper advance stops running, pull the paper back out and
cut a fresh edge on the end of the paper. Make sure that the paper is straight,
rather than curled, so that it does not curl in front of the lip.
