CAUTION:
If CLAMP movement is executed using the teaching pendant, press the STOP button to suspend the
movement.
(Push/Pull) buttons are inoperable because the actuator is moving (Moving). Refer to teaching pendant
instruction manual [ETP-2 (SM-431061)] for the operating method.
※1: There are occasions where setting speed is not reached depending on stroke length and acceleration.
※2: If the external force is overlarge, it will detect an alarm and stop during general transfer movement.
Set the press-in distance so that the CLAMP movement starts 0.5 mm or more ahead of the actual
press-in position.
※3: Refer to Section 7.4 for Retaining Force.
※4: It will continue to CLAMP at the set current-limiting value.
The position completion output will not be output until CLAMP starts. (If there is no work piece, it will
reach the target position. If the work piece is not pressed-in, the position completion output will not be
output.)
Even if there is no work piece, if the actuator is in a condition where it cannot move due to an overload,
it will be considered as a start of CLAMP. Please be advised that an alarm due to an overload will not be
output.
※5: Press-in speed, press-in distance, and CLAMP time are set using the teaching pendant parameters.
Refer to teaching pendant instruction manual [ETP-2 (SM-431061)] for the operating method.
The press-in distance is set as the distance the actuator reaches before the target position.
Example) If the press-in distance is 5mm and the target position is 100mm, the CLAMP movement will
start at 95mm.
The CLAMP time is the time after the CLAMP of the work piece has started. When the CLAMP time is
complete, that position is maintained and the CLAMP force is lost. The work piece may fall off as a
result of this, so please confirm that it is safe even if the work piece falls off.
※6: If the press-in distance is smaller than the position completion output width, the output will come ON
as soon as it is within the position completion width.
