Other options:
To edit an entry, click the
Edit
(pencil) icon. To delete an entry, click
the
Delete
(x) icon. To delete multiple entries, check them and click
Delete
. The
default services cannot be deleted. Only the port range for the default services
can be modified.
The Service Object - Add/Edit window opens.
STEP 3
Enter the following information:
•
Name:
Enter the name for the service.
•
Protocol:
Specify the protocol and port range for the service:

IP:
Uses the predefined IP type. If you choose this option, enter the
protocol number in the
IP Type
field.

ICMP:
Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) is a TCP/IP protocol
used to send error and control messages. If you choose this option, enter
the ICMP type in the
ICMP Type
field.

TCP:
Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) is a transport protocol in
TCP/IP. TCP ensures that a message is sent accurately and in its entirety.
If you choose this option, enter the starting port number in the
Port
Range Start
field and the ending port number in the
Port Range End
field.

UDP:
User Datagram Protocol (UDP) is a protocol within the TCP/IP
protocol suite that is used in place of TCP when a reliable delivery is not
required. If you choose this option, enter the starting port number in the
Port Range Start
field and the ending port number in the
Port Range
End
field.

Both (TCP/UDP):
If you choose this option, enter the starting port
number in the
Port Range Start
field and the ending port number in the
Port Range End
field.

Click
OK
to save your settings.
