Raption 50 Series Service Manual

Backflow diode and Clixon

E

Backflow diode protects the internal components of the Raption from any current
that could come from the oposite side, from the EV to the Charging Station.

This may occur in case there is a problem balancing the voltages, either on the
EV or in the Charging Station side.

In order to keep a safe temperature in this zone, it is installed a radiator and a
fan.

Additionally, it is installed a Clixon. This component will notify the Mode 4 board
in case temperature in this zone is above 80ºC. This alarm will generate an error
that will stop any live charging session and will keep the unit out of service until
problem is fixed.
