Locate the adjustment bolt/retaining nut on
the inlet bracket (Figure 7-8, A). Loosen
the three surrounding bracket bolts (B).
Insert the Allen key in the adjustment bolt
and then loosen the retaining nut.
The adjustment bolt changes the angle of
the roller. Use the Allen key to loosen or
tighten the adjustment bolt as needed to
get the rollers parallel.
Secure the retaining nut.
Secure the three surrounding bracket
bolts. Use care to not affect the angle of
the roll.
Replace the cover(s) removed in Step 5.
WARNING
Never operate the unit unless
all safety covers are in place
and all safety equipment is
working correctly.
Reverse Step 4 and release the main air
solenoid screw by turning it 1/4 turn
counterclockwise.
Start the unit and check the operation of
the clutch rollers.

Belt Tension Adjustment
Over time, a station’s power twist drive belt
will stretch due to normal wear and tear. Tension
on the belt must be adjusted if it is noticeably
slack or if it begins to slip.
Required Tools
7/16” wrench, pliers
Perform only when the unit is OFF
with power disconnected.
Turn power OFF at the main disconnect
switch.
To work on the station’s right belt(s), re-
move the inlet motor cover (Figure 7-7, A)
and then the inlet mechanism cover (B). To
work on the station’s left belt(s), remove
just the inlet mechanism cover (C).
NOTE: Physical constraints
require that first the motor cover
be loosened, then the inlet
mechanism cover removed, and
finally the motor cover removed.
Remove a clutch/brake roller drive belt
by slowly hand-turning the inlet drive belt
(Figure 7-9, A) and rolling the belt off its
drive pulley (B).
