7. Position puller crossbar J 8 433-1 on the puller pilot
J 33023-A and assem ble the tw o J 3 4 9 9 2 -2 through bolts
and washers through the p uller b ar slots and thread them
into the J 34992 holding fixture (Fig. 15). T he thread o f
the through bolts should engage the full thickness o f the
holding fixture.
8. Tighten the center screw in the J 8433-1 puller crossbar
to force the pulley rotor and bearing assem bly onto the
com pressor front head (Fig. 15). Should the J 33017
pulley rotor and bearing installer slip off direct in-line
contact with the inner face o f the bearing, loosen the
J 8433-3 center forcing screw and realign the installer
and pilot so that the J 33017 installer will properly clear
the front head.
9. Install rotor and bearing assem bly retainer ring, using
snap ring pliers J 6083 (Fig. 8).
10. Reinstall clutch plate and hub assem bly as described
previously.
COMPRESSOR CLUTCH COIL
Remove or Disconnect

Perform Steps 1 through 4 o f “C lutch R otor and/or
Bearings” rem oval procedure. M ark clutch coil term inal
location on com pressor front head.
Install J 330 2 3 -A puller pilot on front head o f
com pressor (Fig. 16). A lso install J 8433-1 puller
crossbar with J 33025 puller legs as show n in Figure 16.
Tighten J 8 4 33-3 forcing screw against the puller pilot to
rem ove the clutch coil.
