• adjustable low hitch on a standard or a packer
cutter machine (not used on a rotor cutter
machine).

The hitch version also determines the type of PTO

universal joints: the front piece has 2 joints, the
rear piece has one joint at the flywheel (referred
to as 3 joint PTO driveline).
The rear piece is supported in a mid
‐
ship
bearing mount fitted to a saddle mid
‐
way. The
mid
‐
ship bearing mount has only one qualified
mounting position in the saddle.
• adjustable high
‐
low hitch has a 2 piece driveline
with 4 universal joints: the front piece has 2 joints,
the rear piece has 2 joints as well (referred to as
4 joint PTO driveline further down this manual).
The 2 pieces are supported on a mid
‐
ship
bearing mount, which incorporates a junction
shaft. The mid
‐
ship bearing mount fits to a
saddle mid
‐
way the drawbar frame; its mounting
position in the saddle differs in function of the high
or low position of the hitch.
PTO SHAFT
By design the PTO shaft is a robust unit however the
torque values must be maintained after any
maintenance is carried out. Bolt torques:
