Step on the service platform only, putting your feet on the
anti-slip strips and holding the guarding. Do not abuse the
steps or take a ride on the machine whilst is in motion.
IMPORTANT: On Rotor Cutter machines the step can be
lowered to reduce ground to step height. Always ensure
the steps are returned to the transport position shown
before driving off.

The baler may be shipped with the knotter handrail (1)
and flags (2) in stowage.
Ensure the handrail (1) is secured in its correct
position with the supplied hardware, before
accessing the knotter area. And the flags (2) are fitted
before baling.
Ensure the baler is not running.

2. Climb onto the machine by using the service
ladder.
3. Release safety latch (1).
4. Lift the knotter guard up to open.

Access to the fans is by the right hand side of the
baler. The operator must maintain a three point
contact at all times by having both hands at the
extreme right hand side of the top handrail.
The knotter fans operate when the baler is running
above 600 revs/min. Do not work in or around the fans
when the baler is running. Ensure the PTO is off,
engine stopped and start key removed from the
tractor.
