ROUTINE CLEANING & SET-UP
Routine cleaning and set-up should be performed before initial use and between patient uses. If
the driver fails routine set-up it must be removed from service for a complete service or calibration
inspection.
Note:
Hospital personnel should keep records of Performance Verification Tests
and Preventative Maintenance, and identify equipment that is authorized for
use.
WARNING
The driver should only be used after qualified personnel or a technician
has authorized it for use.
8.1
Battery
The battery included in the driver requires no routine maintenance. The driver should remain
connected to the AC Adaptor whenever possible to ensure a full charge in case patient transport
is necessary and to achieve the expected, useful battery life of two (2) years. The battery must be
replaced at least every 2 years.
CAUTION
The correct AC Adapter must be used with the driver. Use of an
incorrect AC Adapter can damage the internal circuits of the driver.
