During movie shooting in the <

modes, this camera supports the function that turns on the Speedlite’s
LED light automatically in low-light conditions.

In the <
A
> mode, the scene icon for the scene detected by the camera
is displayed on the upper left of the screen (p.319).
You can lock the exposure (AE lock) by pressing the <
A
> button
(except in the <
A
> mode, p.229). The exposure setting will be
displayed for the time length set with [
z
6: Metering timer
]. After
applying AE lock during movie shooting, you can cancel it by pressing
the <
S
> button. (AE lock setting is retained until you press the <
S
>
button.)
You can set exposure compensation up to ±3 stops by setting the
<
R
> switch to the left and turning the <
5
> dial (except in the
<
A
> mode).
Pressing the shutter button halfway displays the ISO speed and shutter
speed at the screen bottom. This is the exposure setting for taking a still
photo (p.323). The exposure setting for movie shooting is not displayed.
Note that the exposure setting for movie shooting may differ from that for
still photo shooting.
In the <
A
>, <
d
>, and <
F
> modes, the shutter speed and aperture will
not be recorded in the movie’s Exif information.
