N. CARRYING AND STORAGE
y
Wait until the appliance has cooled down before carrying it.
y
Do not use the lid handle to carry the appliance (Fig. 13).
y
When carrying it, handle the appliance by the sides (Fig.14)
y
Close the gas cartridge valve after use.
y
If you store your barbecue indoors, disconnect the gas
cartridge and store the cartridge outdoors.
y
When not used for a long period of time, it is recommended
that the barbecue be stored in a dry, sheltered place (e.g.:
garage).
y
Environment conducive to corrosion: particular care must
be taken with the product if used by the sea; it must not
be stored outside without protection, and must be kept
sheltered in a dry environment.
O. ACCESSORIES
ADG (Campingaz) advises that its gas barbecues should
systematically be used with accessories and replacement
parts from Campingaz
®
. ADG (Campingaz) accepts no
responsibility for any damage or malfunction due to the
use of accessories and/or replacement parts from other
brands.
P. PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT
Think about protecting the environment! Your equipment
contains materials which can be recovered or recycled. Hand
them in to the waste collection service in your municipality and
sort the packing materials.
Clean the barbecue after each use to prevent grease build up
and reduce the risk of inflammation.
Important: If the burner turns off while using the appliance,
immediately turn the control knob to the “OFF” position
(O). Wait five minutes to allow the unburned gas to
escape. Only repeat the ignition steps after this time.
Your appliance works with a
CV 470 PLUS
gas cartridge
containing 80% liquid butane. The vaporization of this liquid,
which is necessary to power the burner, depends on the
outdoor temperature and the quantity of liquid inside the
cartridge. In conditions of low outdoor temperature, the
vaporization is limited and the operation of the burner may
be affected.
Avoid using your appliance at an outdoor
temperature below 15°C. In this case, use the appliance
with a full cartridge.
M. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Never modify the appliance: any modification may prove
dangerous.
y
In order to maintain your appliance in perfect working
condition, it is recommended that you clean it after each use.
y
Wait until the appliance has cooled down before cleaning.
y
If the appliance will not be used for a long period of time
disconnect the cartridge as indicated in paragraph K.
Burner:
y
Clean the burner using a damp sponge (soaked in water and
dishwashing soap).
y
Make sure all burner openings are unclogged and dry before
using the burner again. If necessary, unclog the burner using
a wire brush.
y
If necessary, clean the burner openings.
NOTE:
Regular cleaning extends the lifetime of the burner and
prevents premature oxidation that may result from cooking
acid residue. Oxidation of the grill burner is, however, normal.
Regularly check the condition of the hose and change it if it
shows signs of wear or cracking. Please contact your local
after sales service (see separate sheet with contact details
included in the package).
The date which is printed on the hose is the production date
and not the expiration date. The hose can be used without time
limit as long as it is not damaged.
Control panel:
Clean the control panel from time to time using a damp sponge
and a little dishwashing liquid. Do not use abrasive products.
Firebox:
Clean the bottom of the grill after each use with a damp
sponge.
Grease evacuation tray:
Your barbecue is equipped with a grease evacuation tray (Fig.
3). It is recommendable to clean it after each use.
To facilitate cleaning, some sand can be placed at the bottom
of the grease evacuation tray to absorb the cooking grease.
Discard the sand after each use.
Cooking grid:
The cooking grid is enamelled.
CAUTION :
wait for it to cool before any cleaning operation.
Campingaz
®
recommends using the Campingaz
®
BBQ
Cleaner Spray and appropriate barbecue brushes for cleaning.
You may clean your grid in the dishwasher. Before putting it
into the dishwasher, it is often necessary to scrape it with a
sponge or a metallic brush to remove residue that may stick to
the cooking surface.
To remove the grid, slide a finger into the holes indicated (Fig.
5), lift and hold up with the other hand.
