- that the ventilation openings in the gas receptacle housing
are not obstructed, if appropriate.
- that the grease trap(s) is (are) correctly inserted into its
(their) compartment and that it (they) is (are) correctly
positioned, as far as it (they) will go.
- that the heat reflector is correctly installed in the bottom of
the bowl.
- that the bowl's 6 removable parts are reinserted (see § n-
cleaning).
h) LIGHTING THE BARBECUE BURNERS
- Open the lid.
- Make sure that the control knobs are in the "OFF"
position (O).
- Open the gas cylinder valve.
- Press and turn the control lever in a counter-clockwise
direction and put in the full flow position (
), then
press the ignition button immediately ( ). keep the
button pressed until the burner lights.
- If the burner does not light after 10 seconds, wait 5
minutes and try again.
- Adjust the flame to the desired height by turning the
knob to (
) or (
).
Once the burner is lit, there are two options for lighting
another burner:
- The first option is to repeat the ignition procedure
described above.
- The second option is simply to open the 2nd valve,
turning the control lever to its FULL FLOW position
(
).
- You can also light both burners simultaneously. Open
both valves to the FULL FLOW position (
) and
press the ignition button ( ) until the burners light (10
seconds).
- If the electronic ignition system does not work, light the
barbecue manually (next paragraph).
Lighting the burner manually
- If the electronic ignition system fails to work, use a
match to light the burner.
- Open the lid.
- Make sure that the control knobs are in the "OFF"
position (
O
).
- Remove one of the cooking grids to gain access to the
burners.
- Turn on the gas supply (valve or lever on the regulator).
- Put a lighted match in front of the burner.
- Turn the corresponding control lever to its FULL FLOW
position (
).
- Adjust the flame to the dimensions of the recipient by
using the two flow positions: HIGH (
) or LOW ( ).
Once the burner is lit, replace the grid or hotplate.
Once the burner is lit, there are two ways of lighting another
burner:
• Firstly, repeat the lighting operation described above;
• Secondly, light the burner to the right or left of the first
burner lit, then the other burners in turn by turning the
adjustment button to the full flow position (
).

i) EXTINGUISHING THE BARBECUE
Set the control knobs to the "off" position (O), then close the
cylinder valve.
j) LIGHTING THE SIDE BURNER

The side burner can be used alone or at the same time
as the grill.
Lighting:
- Open the gas cylinder valve.
- Check gas circuit sealing from the frame to the hot plate
(see § f).
- Open the hotplate lid and retract it to the back of the
hotplate, sliding it in the grooves at the side.
- Press and rotate the control lever on the stove (
) to
its FULL FLOW position (
).
- Press the ignition button ( ) until the burner lights. If
the burner does not light after 10 seconds, put a match
to the edge of the burner.
- Adjust the flame to the dimensions of the recipient by
using the two flow positions: HIGH (
) or LOW (
).
Do not use recipients with a diameter less than 10 cm
or over 24 cm.
k) TURNING OFF THE SIDE BURNER
(depending on the model)
Return the control lever ( ) to the OFF (O) position,
then close the valve on the gas bottle if the grill is not in
use.
To close the lid, slide it in its grooves, pulling it upwards
until it reaches the spindle, then tip it forwards.
l) REPLACING THE GAS CyLINDER
- Always work in a well ventilated area and never in the
presence of a flame, spark or heat source.
- Return the control knobs in the "off" position (O) then
close the cylinder valve.
- Remove the regulator, check that the sealing joint is in
good condition.
- Put the full cylinder in place, refit the regulator, taking
care not to apply stress to the hose. Check for gas
leaks.
m) OPERATION
It's recommended that protective gloves be worn to
handle components which may be very hot.
On first use, heat the barbecue with the hood closed and
burners in the high position (
) for around 30 minutes
in order to get rid of the paint smell on new parts.
In normal operation, preheat the barbecue with the lid
closed for 15 to 20 minutes to bring the cooking grids up
