Before You Start
Important Notes

For the warranty to be honored, install the unit in accordance with the instructions in this manual.
•
Any changes or modifications of equipment not expressly approved by the manufacturer could void the user’s
authority to operate the equipment and the warranty for such equipment.
•
PTP 820E is intended for installation in a restricted access location.
•
PTP 820E must be installed and permanently connected to protective earth by qualified service personnel in
accordance with applicable national electrical codes.
•
Before starting an installation, use a leveler to make sure that the poles are 100% vertical. You need to check
both sides of each pole at 90 degrees separation.
Purpose
Cambium’s PTP 820 Network Management System (NMS) documents are intended to instruct and assist
personnel in the operation, installation and maintenance of the Cambium equipment and ancillary devices. It is
recommended that all personnel engaged in such activities be properly trained.
