Wrap the twisted braid firmly around the cable jacket and let the crimping tail of the RJ45 plug envelop it.
Note
To ensure proper grounding, it is essential that the twisted braid be firmly connected to the RJ45
plug.

Crimp the RJ45 plug with the crimp tool. Make sure the twisted shield is crimped firmly to the RJ45 plug.
12.
Verify that the wires ended up the correct order and that the wires extend to the front of the RJ45 plug and
make good contact with the metal contacts in the RJ45 plug.
13.
Push back the CAT5E plug cover on the connector plug.
Note
It is recommended that the newly prepared cable be tested with a Cable Analyzer such as the FLUKE
DTX-1800 (or the equivalent), to make sure the cable complies with ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B-2. Make sure
to verify both connectivity and grounding continuity at both ends of the cable.
